Biography:
GEORGE P. ESCOBEDO was born in Laredo, Texas and grew up in
Del Rio and South Texas. George graduated with a Business degree from
Angelo State University in 1992. He went on to receive a Masters degree
in Economics from the University of Texas at El Paso in 1998.
George obtained his law degree from St. Mary’s University School of Law
in San Antonio, where he was Associate Editor of the St. Mary’s Law
Journal and published "Beneficiary Beware": New Directions from
Matassarin v. Lynch for Those with Qualified Domestic Relations Orders.
While in law school, George was also a student attorney for St. Mary's
Center for Legal and Social Justice Clinic as well as a member of Phi
Alpha Delta and the Hispanic Law Student Association.
Currently, George devotes his time and expertise to representing injured
workers against insurance companies and their lawyers. George also
represents individuals in asserting their social security disability
benefits.
George has participated in the San Antonio Bar Association’s “Just Take
One Program” as well as St. Luke’s Wills Clinic. These programs provide
pro bono legal representation for low-income residents of San Antonio
and Bexar County.
